Amorphous is a survival-horror visual novel created for Spooktober 2025. It has been made by a devoted team of three international friends and a list of fellow voice acting volunteers who generously donated their time.

This game is challenging to complete and includes 10 different endings. What fate will you awaken?

Story:

Erik, Stanley and Bernila are on an expedition across a mountain when they encounter an unnatural blizzard. They seek shelter, but Stanley gets left behind. The story focuses on the perspectives of Erik and Bernila who manage to find a cave. The cave appears small at first, and it is very dark and difficult to see. The storm continues outside and is incredibly dangerous. They have limited supplies - most of them were carried by Stanley. And what is worse… they’re not alone in the cave. A supernatural being is watching them.

Sailing Ocelot specialises in narrative games and game design theory. They teach game design while creating their major project code-named 'Sea Hears' in Ren'py. Sailing Ocelot loves to write and shares poetry in their spare time.

Nia is on her journey to transition from writing to game development. Her studies took her through various fields from translation to education and games. She's interested in fantasy, psychology and gamification while she dabbles in art and other creative projects.

Character Artist | Code Assistant | The Amazing Detective

KatieMayWrite (usually shortened to KatieMay or Katie) specialises in coding in renpy, drawing sprites and the mystery genre. When she isn't writing or working on her game "Supernatural Case", she's taking part in visual novel game jams like Nanoreno and Spooktober. She's also a massive anime fan and a sweet tooth.

Triggers:

There are no jump scares in this game although a monster can appear close to the camera. There is no visual gore. Characters can (and likely will) die. Deaths are described in writing and with sound effects. 

Goals and Challenges:

It is possible to achieve 10 different endings in this game. Victories are far fewer and much more difficult to achieve! We would love to know how many days you survived and what ending you received!

• Bug fixes: 
  • Blizzard, Cave & Rest Route repeat bug has been extinguished. This will reveal some story previously missing. 
  • Characters should appear and fade when they're supposed to.
  • Backgrounds should appear correctly.
